To Highland with Love |

An
active presence of Christ in the community through love
and regard for school children at Highland Elementary
just 2 blocks from our church. Each week during the
school year, our ministry seeks to share in the love of
learning. Helping children with their reading and math
is one way to show the compassionate care of God to
those around us. |

Sharlo Apartment Ministry |

Being the presence of Christ to those who suffer from
poverty and other physical limitations. Each Sunday, we
minister to the needs of people who desire the
demonstration of love, hospitality, Bible study and
worship. |

17th & Florida St Homeless Ministry |
|
|
The 3rd Sunday of each month, we hold a
service of worship for those who have no place to call
home. Weekly gifts of basic items - toiletries and
clothing - serve the homeless community that faces daily
neglect and abuse by the world around us. This ministry
aims to serve those on the margins of society just
minutes from our church. |

Together for Hope |
|
|
Every summer, we attempt to serve the communities within
Tensas and East Carroll parishes. By collecting and
transporting over 300 backpacks filled with basic school
supplies (pencils, notebook paper, folders, etc) we seek
to be the presence of Christ to those just a few hours
away from our church.

(Prison Ministry) |

Regular visits to the Louisiana Correctional Institute
for Women make for a dynamic opportunity to love people
who desperately need to know someone cares for them.
Planned retreats for spiritual growth and other visits
during the year contribute to a challenging, but
wonderful, ministry to the community around us. |
