There
are several ways to describe how someone becomes a
Christ-follower. One simple way to remember is to:
Admit - that you sin and are a sinner who is
separated from God and in need of his grace to forgive
us and bring us into relationship with God (Romans
3:23).
Believe - that Jesus died for your sins and for all
human creation. Believe that he demonstrates his own
love toward us in that even while we were sinners,
Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).
Confess - that you want Jesus to be the Lord of your
life (Romans 10:9-10).
Another way to say it, a way that the gospels clearly
show it, is to follow the call of Jesus Christ which
means to love the Lord our God and to love our neighbors
as ourselves. |
