Dr. Mike Massar, Co-Pastor

After growing up in Midland, TX, Mike attended Baylor University where he received his BA. He has done graduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Mansfield College at Oxford, and completed a DMin at The Graduate Theological Foundation. He has done post-doctoral study in screenwriting at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Mike and his wife, Lisa, have 3 adult children. Mike joined UBC from the church staff of Sugarland Baptist Church in Sugarland, TX where he served as Executive Pastor.

Griff Martin, Co-Pastor

Griff grew up in Austin, TX and was active in Hyde Park Baptist Church. Griff received his BA from Baylor Univeristy and attended George W. Truett Theological Seminiary for his MDiv and Masters of Educational Psychology degrees. Currently Griff is studying for his DMin at Truett. Griff and his wife, Abby, have one daughter, Blake. Griff joined UBC from the church staff of Sugarland Baptist Church in Sugarland, TX where he served as Associate Pastor working with Young Adults.
