Have you been to the cafe lately? Our play garden is growing. UBC grandparents and parents are coming with their littles and we have seen a rise in new families visiting the cafe this past fall. We are looking for a few volunteers to help run the cafe a couple days a month from 9-12. We will have a volunteer training and sign up opportunities after worship on Sunday, January 13th and at 12:30 on Monday, January 14th if you would like to learn more.
The cafe is open from 9-12 Monday- Thursday. The volunteers role would be to arrive by 8:45 and be ready to welcome new and returning guests.
Returning guests are reminded to check in and new guests are shown how to register, shown where kids drop their shoes and shown where and how they can purchase snacks.
Volunteers are encouraged to chat briefly with families to welcome them and share UBC opportunities (direct them to the tv monitor and flyers).
It's that easy!
Volunteers are also encouraged to bring a friend, book, magazines, or computer/tablet as they will have down time.
