CBF Moderator - Tanya Parks
In other church posts you've likely heard that our Senior co-Pastor Tanya Parks
has begun her work as Moderator of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF).
Her selection for this role is, of course, an honor for her. But it's also an honor
for someone from our congregation to be chosen for this vital task.
In her volunteer role, Tanya will serve as the chair of the national
CBF Governing Board, leading meetings and working closely with CBF
Executive Coordinator Paul Baxley to shape the future of the Fellowship. As you
well know, this is a crucial time for CBF and all people of faith, as our nation
and world face unrest, uncertainty and polarization. Pray for Tanya, for CBF and
for all of us as Jesus' followers - as together, we look for a way to respond with God's compassion and hope.
Tanya accepted her role during the Thursday Business Session at CBF General Assembly in St. Louis last week. She spoke before the Assembly and outlined her vision and hopes for the coming year - you can watch her acceptance speech at the link below:
