Office Holiday Closure

This week, the Ministerial Staff (Tanya, Jon, Eric, and Rachel) had the opportunity to get away for a few days and have a time of connection, renewal and uninterrupted planning time. Now that Rachel is officially on staff. we were able to get to know each other better and learn about how we can work together more effectively. It was a joy for us to reflect on the good things that are happening here at UBC and dream about how we might move forward. These times of disconnect from the daily routine and connection to larger more big-picture issues are vital to any staff. We are so thankful for a congregation that gives space for such times!
Summer Gathering - JUNE 2024
This year's first Summer Gathering was a wonderful success! More than 80 people gathered in the Fellowship Hall for two hours of BBQ, Bingo and Brownies. Volunteers brought all kinds of grilled and smoked meats, salads and desserts to enjoy. The afternoon also featured a cake and gifts to welcome Rachel and Jason Mann to UBC. Anxious Bingo players were rewarded with gift-card prizes and children's treats... but the most important part was the time spent together!

Workshop by Braver Angels
It's election season, and you know what that means -
awkward family dinners where we fight over politics, or completely avoid them. Is there a better way? This workshop will help participants learn ways to engage in constructive and loving conversations with family and close friends who share different political beliefs.
