"Preparing Congregations for Disaster and Crisis"
On Saturday, June 15, eight UBC members joined in a workshop on "Preparing Congregations for Disaster and Crisis" at Broadmoor Baptist. Leaders Jim and Jo Kirkendall, Disaster Responders for Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, helped participants learn more
about how to be prepared for and respond to large- scale disasters
and local crises. Thanks to Jim and Jo for great leadership, and to Brittany Caldwell (Co-Coordinator for Great Rivers Fellowship)
for a fun and enlightening workshop!

It's election season, and you know what that means -
awkward family dinners where we fight over politics, or completely avoid them. Is there a better way? This workshop will help participants learn ways to engage in constructive and loving conversations with family and close friends who share different political beliefs.
